When Brooks Koepka tees it up at Southern Hills Country Club on Thursday, he’ll be aiming for his third PGA Championship, and he’s hoping things go a lot better for him as the week unfolds.
On Tuesday, Koepka arrived late for his scheduled press conference before of the PGA Championship. In a hilarious video he shared on social media, he explained why. The four-time major champion managed to lock himself out of his car while it was still running, which seems practically impossible in today’s world.
A short time later, Koepka tweeted that someone from the PGA had arrived with an extra key and had opened the car, which was most likely a courtesy car provided by the event organizers. Fortunately, the minor hiccup cost him very little time.
Koepka isn’t always a fan of technology, as seen by his snatching of a spectator’s phone during a tournament last month. Hopefully, Tuesday’s occurrence is not a precursor to future events.
