Although Thomas Pieters has won two of his last five starts, he still enjoys throwing a fit on the golf field.
On day two of Tiger Woods’ Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour, the big-hitting Belgian did not disappoint.
Pieters, who is known as one of the game’s hottest players, had 10 feet for birdie on the par-4 7th hole, but his shot soared way past the cup, leaving him with five feet for par.
From there, you can probably figure out what transpired.
Pieters stepped up and missed the par save in a race against time to make the halfway cut, resulting in a three-putt bogey-five and a return to 3-over par for the event.
Pieters was enraged.
We were all expecting it, as did the commentators, but he looked to be keeping it all under wraps.
As he said beneath his breath, he could be a new and improved Pieters.
Nope.
Pieters then whacked his ball with his putter over the back of the green, presumably missing the onlookers.
He then trudged off the green with his shoulders slumped before passing his putter to his caddie and then kicking his Titleist Tour Bag.

Pieters would end up shooting a 71 and missing the cut by two strokes.
He didn’t throw the worst tantrum we’ve ever seen, but it was surely good enough for a top-five finish.
This Pieters strop from the par-5 4th at Wentworth during the BMW PGA Championship will probably always be our favorite.
i need to do a segment on this beauty thomas pieters

This one was pretty special, too.
The effect of this would have lessened if he’d have not strolled the putt in too. Serious pimping of a club snap right there @Thomas_Pieters https://t.co/bbkQYWnGys
